I have job shadowing experience from my senior year of high school, where I had the privilege of observing a wide range of health professionals such as surgeons, nurses, speech therapists, radiologists, physician assistants, and more. I obtained over 80 hours of shadowing through the program I was in, the Emerging Health Professionals Program, through Lehigh Carbon and Technical Institute.
I also recently got a job at Allentown Family Foot Care where I will gain experience at the front desk and as an assistant to Podiatrists. The head podiatrist there, Dr. Fritz, is a Muhlenberg graduate and hires Muhlenberg students as assistants, which was a huge opportunity granted by my connection through Muhlenberg.
I have volunteered at Country Meadows planting flowers, decorating for the holidays, and playing games with the residents during my time in the Emerging Health Professionals program. Also, the Muhlenberg College Softball Team volunteers at Feed the Children, where we packed 640 boxes for disaster and humanitarian relief this past year.
